Job Purpose:Design and develop learning system based management and reporting solutions, proactively create utility applications and systems to solve emerging business scenarios. Advise bet practice and current trends in learning support and management systemsResponsibilities:
Supervision of Application development project teams
Design, develop, and maintain student information systems and related applications.
Implement enhancements and upgrades to improve system performance and user experience.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to student information systems.
Manage databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance.
Develop and implement database solutions, including data modeling, normalization, and indexing.
Perform regular backups, updates, and data migration as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate student information systems with other institutional applications and platforms.
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement system improvements.
Create comprehensive documentation for systems, databases, and processes.
Provide training and support to end-users and staff on system functionalities and best practices.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA) and institute security measures to safeguard student data.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in application/database development, with a focus on student information systems in an educational setting.
Certifications related to database management or relevant technologies
Experience with cloud based solutions and familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google cloud
