- Supervision of Application development project teams
- Design, develop, and maintain student information systems and related applications.
- Implement enhancements and upgrades to improve system performance and user experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to student information systems.
- Manage databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance.
- Develop and implement database solutions, including data modeling, normalization, and indexing.
- Perform regular backups, updates, and data migration as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate student information systems with other institutional applications and platforms.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement system improvements.
- Create comprehensive documentation for systems, databases, and processes.
- Provide training and support to end-users and staff on system functionalities and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA) and institute security measures to safeguard student data.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in application/database development, with a focus on student information systems in an educational setting.
- Certifications related to database management or relevant technologies
- Experience with cloud based solutions and familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google cloud
