Senior Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update accurate financial records including profit and loss statements, balance sheet, cash flow sheet & other financial reports.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Oversee and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconciliation of bank statements, supplier accounts, fuel inventory and diesel trading transactions.
• Preparation of VAT reports in accordance with UAE Tax regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax filings.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants and support the team in day-to-day accounting functions
• Stay updated on developments in UAE accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-4 years of proven experience as an Accountant and at least 2 years as a senior accountant in diesel trading companies in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
