Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our organization. Reporting directly to the CEO. you will oversee various accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, and compliance. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding financial decisions, streamlining processes, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and reporting requirements (GAAP, IFRS, etc.). Provide insights into financial performance and trends to support strategic decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance. Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to assess potential outcomes.

General Ledger Management:Audit and Compliance:Process Improvement:Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Oversee the general ledger and ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets. Coordinate and facilitate external audits, including providing necessary documentation and explanations. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as tax laws and financial reporting requirements. Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and assess their impact on the organization. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Implement best practices to enhance financial reporting accuracy and timeliness. Leverage technology and automation tools to optimize accounting workflows. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment within the finance team. Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in accounting or finance roles, with increasing levels of responsibility. Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices, including financial reporting and auditing standards. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed recommendations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Leadership qualities with a commitment to fostering teamwork and professional growth.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
