Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports related to logistics operations.
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and identify variances.
• Conduct cost analysis and profitability assessments of logistics activities.
• Develop budgets for logistics operations in collaboration with the logistics and finance teams.
• Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
• Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Track and manage logistics costs, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory costs.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
• Oversee accounting for inventory, including valuation, adjustments, and reconciliation.
• Implement inventory control measures to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes for logistics operations.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to support financial decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications
• Educational Background:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation is preferred.
• UAE experience mandatory
