Senior Accountant for Fashion Company
An Accountant role in the UAE combines financial management with general logistics duties. Here's an overview of the typical responsibilities associated with this position:

1. Financial Management:
Bookkeeping : Recording all financial transactions accurately and timely using accounting software ( Odoo experience will be an advantage )
Accounts Payable and Receivable : Managing invoices, payments, and receipts. Handling supplier invoices, ensuring they are accurate and processed in a timely manner. Managing customer invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
Bank Reconciliation : Matching monthly the bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Financial Reporting : Preparing financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements , in monthly and yearly basis , Assisting in the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
Payroll : Preparing the salaries , calculating overtime , bonuses , deductions , checking and updating the attendance sheet.
Budgeting and Forecasting : Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of budgets. Providing support in financial forecasting and variance analysis.
Tax Compliance : Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT filings. Assisting in the preparation of tax returns and supporting documentation.
2. Procurement:
Office Management : Overseeing day-to-day office operations, including managing office supplies, facilities, and equipment , ordering fabrics , dealing with the suppliers , managing inventory, storage, Reviewing, preparing, and routing purchase orders , Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity , Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services , Manage weekly delivery updates of fabric ,
Documentation and Filing : Maintaining organized and up-to-date records, both physical and digital. This includes financial documents, contracts of employees , accounts records, and catalogues .
Correspondence : Handling emails, phone calls, and other forms of communication ( suppliers , Dhl , Aramex ) . Providing prompt and professional responses to inquiries from, suppliers.
