Maks Investments is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Accountant to oversee and enhance our financial processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and efficiency. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and driving improvements to financial performance. This role requires a confident leader capable of addressing challenges, optimizing operational efficiency, and collaborating with management to drive profitability and ensure financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Develop and implement accounting procedures and policies to optimize operational efficiency. Lead and collaborate with the finance team to identify areas for cost control and profitability improvement. Support budget preparation and forecasting processes. Work closely with senior leadership to provide insights and financial data that drive strategic decision-making. Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations. Handle corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with tax laws. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly and year-end financials. Perform account reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during yearly audits. Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency Perform reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies. Utilize Tally software for accounting entries, VAT filing, and tax reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in driving efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
