Job Description

Position Overview: The Senior Accountant at SSLOOTAH Trading company will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of Saeed Ahmed Lootah & Sons group & its affiliates, ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. He will manage a team of accounts, establish accounting policies and procedures, and provide financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making. Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the accounting team, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll processing. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards. Prepare and review financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and completeness. Conduct regular reconciliations of all financial accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified. Manage the year-end audit process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas of improvement and providing recommendations to senior management. Oversee the maintenance and integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring accurate recording and classification of financial transactions. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks. Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities to the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture. Assure that the ERP system is efficient and accurate. Formulate financial reports and conduct strategic analyses and reporting. Ensure that all accounting processes comply with tax laws and regulations and monitor changes in tax legislation to update practices accordingly. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr
