Job Title: Senior Accountant

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, particularly within the UAE Construction and Real Estate Development industry, with expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting software. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role within the UAE construction and real estate development sector.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards relevant to the UAE, including VAT and other local tax regulations.
• Proven experience with project accounting, cost control, and financial reporting for large-scale construction and real estate projects.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and senior management.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, presenting key insights on financial performance to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, IFRS, and UAE accounting standards, providing accurate tax filings and timely reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure alignment with project budgets and cost tracking.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for construction projects, providing in-depth analysis of cost performance and profitability.
• Collaborate with project managers to track project costs, variances, and progress, ensuring financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and assist in internal audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing leadership and fostering professional development within the accounting team.
• Assist in the implementation and optimization of accounting software and financial systems to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure the timely processing of all financial transactions to support smooth project execution.
