Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Senior Accountant with at least 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE. The ideal candidate will oversee complex accounting functions, ensure compliance with local regulations, and provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UAE accounting standards.
• Budget Management: Assist in budget preparation and expense monitoring to ensure financial efficiency.
• Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, vendor statements, and intercompany transactions.
• VAT Compliance: Manage VAT filing, returns, and ensure adherence to UAE tax regulations.
• Internal Auditing: Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial records.
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting processes.
• Cost Control: Analyze and monitor operational costs, providing recommendations for cost-saving strategies.
• Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• System Implementation: Suggest and implement improvements in financial systems and processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in the wholesale, retail, or FMCG industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws, tax compliance, and local financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in accounting (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• Experience in the fruits and vegetables or FMCG sectors.
• Familiarity with inventory and cost accounting practices.
