We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team at Blue Lions Events Organizers CO L.L.C. This role is critical in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial information. The Senior Accountant will handle core accounting functions, manage event-specific financial tracking, and work closely with event teams to forecast and monitor budgets, keeping projects on target.
Key Responsibilities
• Event Financial Management
• Track budgets for various events, monitoring expenses, income, and other financial data.
• Support event teams with financial insights, cost controls, and spending recommendations for individual events.
• Prepare post-event financial summaries and profit analyses for each event.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they comply with GAAP and internal standards.
• Generate management reports, including profit and loss, budget variance, and cash flow analyses, with a focus on event profitability.
• General Ledger and Account Reconciliation
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
• Reconcile event-related income and expenses, ensuring all financial data aligns with event budgets.
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Assist in creating annual budgets and event-specific financial forecasts.
• Provide analysis on budget variances and give actionable insights for improving cost efficiency in event execution.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, with a focus on vendor payments and client billings related to events.
• Monitor and ensure timely collection of event deposits and post-event settlements.
• Event Cost Analysis & Profitability
• Conduct in-depth analysis of event expenses, including venue costs, vendor fees, and other direct costs, to maximize event profitability.
• Identify and recommend areas for cost savings without compromising the quality of the event.
• Compliance & Audit Preparation
• Support internal and external audits, preparing audit schedules, documentation, and responding to audit inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and company policies.
• Process Improvement
• Develop and implement improvements in accounting processes and internal controls, especially in areas specific to event management.
• Document accounting procedures for events, ensuring accurate and streamlined processes.
• Team Collaboration
• Work closely with event managers, project managers, and sales teams to ensure accurate financial support for projects.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff on event-related transactions and procedures.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role. Experience in the event management or hospitality industry is highly preferred.
• Certifications: CPA or CMA designation preferred but not required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or industry-specific tools) and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial considerations unique to event management, including vendor contract negotiation, variable expenses, and revenue cycles.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
