Title: Senior Accountant

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to oversee and manage service charge audits, service charge budgeting as per RERA regulations, financial audits, and ensure compliance with various financial and tax laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of VAT laws, corporate tax laws, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role requires independence and the ability to handle responsibilities with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Charge Audit and Budgeting:

• Preparation of annexures for audits of service charges in accordance with RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) guidelines.
• Prepare and analyze service charge budgets, ensuring compliance with RERA regulations and accounting standards

Financial Audits:

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports for audits.
• Collaborate with external auditors as necessary to facilitate audit processes.

Tax and Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay updated on VAT laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in financial reporting and transactions.
• Ensure adherence to corporate tax laws and assist in tax planning and filing processes.
• Maintain knowledge of AML regulations and implement appropriate controls to mitigate financial risk.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts as required.
• Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
• Provide management with insightful recommendations to optimize financial performance.

IFRS Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in financial reporting and accounting practices.
• Implement new IFRS standards as they are introduced and ensure compliance across the organization.

Independence and Leadership:

• Work independently to manage assigned tasks and projects effectively.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring their professional growth and development.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA, CA Inter, ACCA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with a focus on service charge audits and budgeting in the real estate sector.
• In-depth knowledge of RERA regulations, VAT laws, corporate tax laws, AML regulations, and IFRS.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience in financial auditing and reporting.
