We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client\'s dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the food service and retail industry, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. A proven background in a MNC will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, implement, and manage budgets; assist in financial planning and analysis.
• General Ledger Management: Oversee all general ledger functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Supervise the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT filings and other statutory requirements.
• Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors for periodic audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Internal Controls: Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Financial Systems: Utilize and enhance financial software systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or similar certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the food service or retail industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of IFRS and local tax regulations.
• Language: Fluent in English;
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
