We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team at our lubricant manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices, financial reporting, and manufacturing cost accounting within a factory environment. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our operations, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations.
Cost Accounting: Monitor and analyze production costs, variances, and efficiencies. Assist in the preparation of cost budgets and forecasts, and provide insights for operational cost control.
General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger activities, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
Inventory Management: Manage inventory accounting processes, including inventory valuation, cost allocation, and assessment of inventory reserves.
Audit and Compliance: Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and statutory reporting requirements including VAT submission.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, working closely with department heads to understand financial requirements and performance metrics.
Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, prepare cash forecasts, and manage bank relationships to optimize cash management practices.
Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, providing training and guidance to assist in their professional development.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting, with a significant focus on manufacturing or lubricant industry experience being highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software Tally and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple deadlines.
