To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Security department and that all related security, fire, emergency, and crisis management procedures are adhered to in accordance with company policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:

• Implement security measures to maximize prevention of crime by ensuring regular presence of security officers in all areas of the hotel.
• Manage and evaluate incidents and determine appropriate course of action to ensure they are dealt with promptly with sufficient care, fully investigated and recorded.
• Act as a focal point for any investigations involving security; to prepare reports and note follow up action.
• Report any significant security breaches to the Director of Security and undertake a full investigation together with recommended courses of action.
• Monitor patrols to ensure they are carried out periodically during every shift and that they cover all areas of the hotel
• Ensure the incident recording system is constantly updated and all relevant information is recorded appropriately
• Maintain an excellent working relationship with the police, Civil Defense, and other pertinent civil authorities
• Plan and ensure completion of statutory fire and emergency training provided for all colleagues including all levels of management
• Plan and execute emergency evacuation drills at least every six months, and ensure these are recorded and action points arising from the drill are addressed prior to the next drill
• Maintain and update the BCP as required
• Keep security measures under constant review to ensure they are adequate to meet current threats to business
• Undertake security surveys, security risk assessments, draft relevant policies and procedures and compile security reports.
• Represent security on any relevant project workgroups.
• Ensure fire alarms are tested on a weekly basis and work closely with the Engineering department to monitor fire procedures and detection systems.
• Carry out the relevant workplace risk assessments regularly/when required and that appropriate records are in place.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• SIRA approved Security Managers\' course
• SIRA Security Managers\' license
• Degree/Diploma in related subject
• Police or military background
• Minimum 5 years\' experience in the security field
• Minimum 2 years\' experience as a manager/director.
• Ability to understand effective approaches of communication with different individuals.
• Able to communicate clearly with peers and superiors.
• Comfortable in leading cross functional and multi-cultural teams
• Good command of verbal and written English
• Knowledge of firefighting equipment
• Knowledge of CCTV operation
• Knowledge of investigations
• Knowledge of crisis management
• First aid and CPR trained
• Knowledge of handling emergency situations and evacuations
