The Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The ideal candidate should have a background in security management and a thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures in a hospitality environment.Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard guests, employees, and hotel property.
Conduct regular assessments of security risks and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Manage and coordinate the activities of the hotel security team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
Monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems, to ensure their proper functioning.
Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises to identify and address any security concerns or violations.
Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, such as thefts, accidents, or disturbances.
Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Human Resources, to ensure effective communication and coordination on security-related matters.
Maintain strong relationships with local law enforcement agencies and other security providers to enhance the hotel's security network.
Conduct investigations into security-related incidents or complaints and prepare detailed reports on findings and recommended actions.
Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in security technology to continually improve the hotel's security measures.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to hotel security.
Desired Skill & Expertise
Bachelor's degree in Security Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in security management, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices.
Familiarity with local laws and regulations related to hotel security.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and act quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
Proficiency in using security systems and technology, such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
Certification in security management or relevant industry certifications is a plus.
