The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of premises, property, and personnel by patrolling, monitoring, and inspecting buildings and other areas. The ideal candidate will be vigilant, have good observational skills, and be able to handle potentially stressful situations calmly and effectively.Key Responsibilities:Patrolling and Monitoring:Conduct regular patrols of the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates. Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of the premises. Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems. Access Control:Check identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises. Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor badges. Ensure that all security procedures are followed for visitors and employees. Incident Response:Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances. Provide assistance during emergencies, such as medical incidents, fires, and natural disasters. Report and document any suspicious activities, security breaches, or hazards to the appropriate authorities. Customer Service:Provide directions and information to visitors and staff in a courteous and professional manner. Assist in the implementation of crowd control measures during events or peak times. Offer assistance to individuals in need, ensuring a safe environment for everyone. Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and observations. Prepare incident reports as required. Document any maintenance needs for security equipment or facilities. Compliance and Procedures:Follow all company policies and procedures regarding security and safety. Participate in regular training and drills to stay updated on security protocols and emergency procedures. Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams when necessary. Qualifications and Skills:High school diploma or equivalent. Valid UAE security guard license. Previous experience as a security guard or in a similar role. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong observational and decision-making skills. Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations effectively. Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
