The start date will be August 2024.About the RoleThe School Library is a dynamic and innovative environment which supports our motivated and high-achieving students in a wide range of activities that develop a love for reading and a high level of information literacy skills. As a School Librarian, you will contribute to information literacy programmes throughout the school and will help to support the further development of digital library resources. You will be working closely with students providing them guidance in study and writing skills development.With proven organisational and interpersonal skills, you will be an excellent communicator who gets on well with colleagues, students and parents in an international and multicultural setting. You will have a vision of how modern 21st Century libraries can support learners and how they can be the central resource for learning, research and collaboration for the community. Amongst other things, you will have a good sense of humour and will be driven by your passion to develop and grow the school library system.The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of 2 years\' experience in managing library systems and information management (essential)
Technological expertise in electronic information resources
Deep Knowledge of research, reading, writing and literacy development
High level of international and inter-cultural understanding (essential)
Outstanding working experience with children and adults
