At times she might be required to take a clientu0027s measurements, assist in fabric selection, and arrange fittings to determine whether additional adjustments are needed. the Seamstress Team Leader plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating the work of a team of seamstresses.QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATION / LICENSESif mandatory we will note this

• Certificate / Diploma in fashion
• Degree in fashion design

EXPERIENCE

• 2 years with proven experience working as a seamstress
• Minimum two years experience managing staff
• Proven sewing experience
• Sound knowledge of various fabrics and sewing techniques

KEY SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to lead a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and effective communication skills
• Managing the day-to-day activities of the team
• Compiles relevant data and reports on daily activity.
• Ensuring that sewing machines and other equipment are in good working order
• Inspires and motivates the seamstresses to achieve organisational goals., this involves creating a positive work environment,
• Recognizing achievements and providing encouragement
• Ensures that seamstresses receive necessary training to enhance their abilities collaborates with management to define clear objectives for the team.

• Ability to work under time constraints
• The ability to safely use different types of sewing machines,
• Excellent organisational, problem solving and time management skills.
• Assigning specific tasks to individual team members by the skills and expertise as an essential responsibility.
