The Seafood Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with clients, and managing the seafood product line's overall sales operations. This position involves market analysis, sales strategy development, and ensuring product quality and freshness. The manager must have deep knowledge of seafood products and the ability to manage a sales team while maintaining client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve company goals and profitability for seafood products. Conduct market research to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitors. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote seafood products and increase market presence. Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns. Identify and engage with new clients, developing tailored solutions for their seafood product needs. Negotiate sales agreements and contracts with key clients. Lead and supervise the seafood sales team, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations. Set sales targets for the team and ensure they are met or exceeded. Monitor sales activities, ensuring that team members adhere to company policies and sales processes. Ensure that seafood products meet quality and freshness standards before reaching clients. Collaborate with procurement teams to source the best seafood products in line with market demands. Work with logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred). Relevant certifications in seafood or food safety standards are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the seafood or food industry. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Experience in managing and leading a sales team.
