:The Entertainment Director is responsible for the successful day to day leadership of live shows, atmosphere and character performances, special/seasonal events, and all associated staff for the assigned property. This position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all entertainment programs including safety standards and environmental compliance, guest and employee satisfaction, and financial delivery.Job Scope
Conducts appraisals as per company policies
Set team KPI's, tracks and report result
Ensures successful daily operation of all entertainment venues and special events
Works in conjunction with the Director of Entertainment in developing and implementing the
strategic plan for the production, maintenance, and enhancement of all entertainment venues and
special events
Provides leadership, coaching and mentoring to staff. Provides direction to staff in career
development and performance management
Accountable for completion of all administrative matters in a timely manner
Oversee entertainment financial areas including labor and non-labor budgets, capital planning, staff
schedules, and show schedules/cycles/grids
Understand and actively participate in environmental, health & safety responsibilities by following
established policy, procedures, and training
Partnering both in and outside of the department with management counterparts and performs as
departmental duty manager if required
Maintains a network of industry contacts stays abreast of entertainment trends and performs
Competitive benchmarking as necessary
Essential job requirements:
College degree
7 years of experience in the live entertainment industry
Working knowledge of entertainment production, stage management, stage direction, costuming, and related theatrical technical disciplines
Familiarity working in a diverse international environment
Thorough knowledge and experience in large scale theme park projects including: design, development, production, live show mounting and entertainment planning
Desirable requirements:
Previous experience as part of a theme park or attraction opening team
Specialized undergraduate or graduate theatrical/fine arts degree (MFA
