Job Description

Set a clear strategic direction and promote a vision that is shared by the whole school community. Ensure that the UAE national and Emirate priorities are evident within the school's vision

Work with all stakeholders to translate the vision into agreed objectives and operational plans that promote and sustain school improvement and are evident in everyday practice.

Create an organizational structure that reflects the school's values and focuses on visible student outcomes

Develop effective strategies for staff induction, professional development, and performance reviews. Evaluate the performance of the Heads of Departments and the teachers with Professional Development Plans.

Set clear and inclusive vision and strategic direction which reflects the UAE and Baord's priorities as laid out in the school academic plan.

Demonstrate secure knowledge of the curriculum and best practices in teaching, learning and assessment.

Establish a positive learning culture and in achieving high standards of students' learning and personal development.

Work with the Senior Leadership Team to develop effective systems of communication and feedback from all stakeholders.

Demonstrate clear understanding of what needs to be done to innovate and to improve the school and maintain high school level performance.

Set a clear system of comprehensive self - evaluation that is embedded in the school's improvement.

Ensure that there is appropriate evaluation of teaching and learning and their effect on students' achievement.

Ensure that parental involvement makes a very positive contribution to raising standard and parental feedback is considered when shaping school improvement.

Implement effective assessments and monitoring systems which continuously ensure improved outcomes for all groups of students which exceeds national and international curriculum standards.

Implement effective systems which support the personal development, wellbeing, and high achievement of all groups of students.

Work with the Senior Leadership Team for student discipline, classroom observations, teacher evaluation and supervision, career progress of teachers, maintenance of students' and teachers' attendance records, personnel records, facilitating parent meetings, maintaining schedules, and handling logistical matters.
