Job Description

Job Overview :

We are seeking an organized and energetic School Activity Coordinator to plan, implement, and oversee extracurricular activities and events for students. The role involves coordinating school-wide programs, managing event logistics, and ensuring that activities enhance the educational experience while promoting student engagement, leadership, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will collaborate with teachers, staff, students, and external vendors to create a dynamic and enriching environment for students beyond the classroom.

Key Responsibilities :

• Activity Planning & Implementation :
• Develop, plan, and coordinate a variety of extracurricular activities , including sports, arts, cultural events, field trips, and student clubs.
• Create a yearly activity calendar and ensure all activities align with the school's mission and values.
• Ensure that all activities are inclusive and cater to the diverse interests of students.
• Logistics & Event Management :
• Manage the logistics of events, including securing venues, coordinating transportation, and arranging for any required materials or equipment.
• Oversee the budget for school activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Ensure that safety guidelines and school policies are followed during all events and activities.
• Communication & Coordination :
• Act as the main point of contact for students, parents, teachers, and external vendors regarding school activities.
• Promote and advertise upcoming events and activities through newsletters, posters, and school announcements.
• Work closely with student councils , teacher committees, and other school staff to ensure the success of all programs.
• Student Engagement & Leadership :
• Encourage student participation and engagement in extracurricular activities, fostering a sense of school spirit and community.
• Mentor and support students in leadership roles within clubs, teams, or student-led events.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and programs by gathering feedback from students, staff, and parents.
• Administrative Duties :
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and feedback from events.
• Prepare reports on the outcomes of activities and events for school leadership.
• Handle administrative tasks related to permissions, waivers, and communication with parents.
• Professional Development & School Support :
• Stay updated on trends in student activities, events, and extracurricular engagement.
• Attend school meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions to enhance your role as an activity coordinator.
• Assist with additional school duties as needed, such as supporting school assemblies or large-scale events.

Requirements :

• Education & Certification :
• Bachelor's degree in Education , Event Management , or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in student activities coordination , event planning , or a similar role is an advantage.
• Skills & Abilities :
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple events and activities at once.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
• Creativity and problem-solving abilities to develop engaging activities that meet student needs.
• Ability to work flexible hours , including evenings or weekends, as required for events.
