Key Responsibilities:
- Model Making: Create detailed and accurate scale models based on provided specifications and blueprints.
- Fabrication: Utilize various materials and techniques to fabricate components of scale models, including cutting, sanding, and sculpting.
- Painting and Finishing: Apply paint and finishes to models, ensuring high-quality and realistic outcomes.
- Sculpting: Sculpt intricate details and components to enhance the realism and precision of scale models.
- Blueprint and CAD Utilization: Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and CAD designs to construct models that meet precise specifications.
- Detail Enhancement: Enhance the realism of models through painting, weathering, adding decals, and incorporating intricate details using various techniques and materials.
- Quality Control: Inspect and ensure the quality and accuracy of all model components and final assemblies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality models.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain and care for all tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in all fabrication and model-making processes.
- Innovation: Continuously seek ways to improve techniques and processes, staying up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies.
- Education: A degree or diploma in Model Making, Industrial Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
