Job Summary:
The Scaffolding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing scaffolding operations on construction sites. This role ensures that all scaffolding activities comply with safety regulations, project specifications, and company standards. The Scaffolding Supervisor will lead a team of scaffolders, coordinate with other site personnel, and ensure efficient and safe erection, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding structures.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Leadership:
• Manage and supervise a team of scaffolders, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct regular training and performance evaluations for scaffolders.
• Ensure effective communication with other site supervisors and project managers to align on project needs and schedules.
Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure all scaffolding operations are conducted in compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments of scaffolding structures and take corrective actions as needed.
• Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
Scaffolding Installation & Maintenance:
• Oversee the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems according to project requirements.
• Ensure scaffolding structures are stable, secure, and designed to support the intended loads.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance to ensure scaffolding remains in good working condition.
Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of scaffolding inspections, maintenance activities, and safety compliance.
• Prepare reports on scaffolding progress, issues, and any incidents that occur on site.
• Report any equipment or material shortages and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
Coordination & Collaboration:
• Work closely with site managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure scaffolding supports project needs and deadlines.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and quality of scaffolding materials.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in scaffolding is preferred.
• Proven experience as a scaffolder, with at least [X] years in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA Scaffolding Certification, CISRS) are highly desirable.
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding techniques, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Proficiency in using scaffolding tools and equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical stamina to handle the demands of lifting, carrying, and maneuvering scaffolding materials.
• Good manual dexterity and coordination.
Working Conditions:
• Work is performed on construction sites, which may involve exposure to various environmental conditions and potential hazards.
• Standard working hours with potential for overtime depending on project requirements.
