The Role:
We are a luxury rug brand looking for a proactive, personable, highly motivated and organized designer/sales consultant. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, responsible and detail-oriented self-starter with a strong passion for continuous learning and professional development.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, keeping track of all deliverables and deadlines to ensure all client expectations are met, including daily communication and follow-up across various accounts
• Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail and organization
• Continually build relationships with customers and design firms
• Advise clients on product attributes and qualities
• Work with Studio on customization of designs and bespoke projects
• Proactively source new business and schedule outside presentations
• Actively network and attend industry events
• Coordinate outreach trips with samples, collateral, lunches and presentation materials
• Develop a remote territory through visits, competitive research and networking
• Ability to present to clients in and out of the showroom
• Generate quotes, sales orders, invoices and delivery documentation for projects
• Assist with aftercare questions and advise on solutions
• Coordinate samples for projects and update sample libraries as needed
• Set up home visits with customers and design firms
• Take calls, messages and meetings from and with Clients
• Provide timely creation and distribution of marketing and sales reports as requested
• Track sales activity to create history with assigned firms
• Manage a project pipeline and provide forecasting information as needed by the manager
• Willingness to work with all team members and assist all customers
• Attend sales and product meetings as directed by your manager
• Participate in all company-sponsored training and showroom meetings
Qualifications:
• Possess good organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work under deadlines
• Must be professional and have good job stability
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Self-starter
• Team player
• Familiar with design and/or luxury community
