Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join our team in the water treatment and water pumps industry. The Sales Manager will lead the sales team, develop new business opportunities, and manage key client accounts across various sectors including municipal, industrial, commercial, and residential markets. The role requires in-depth knowledge of water treatment systems, pumps, and related technologies, along with strong leadership skills to drive sales growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales Strategy & Leadership:
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the water treatment and water pumps product lines, aligned with company goals.
• Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
• Oversee sales pipeline management, monitor performance, and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to senior management.
• Business Development:
• Identify and target new business opportunities, clients, and markets for water treatment solutions and pump systems.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including engineers, contractors, municipalities, and corporate clients.
• Promote the company's portfolio of water treatment technologies, pumps, filtration systems, and related services to existing and potential clients.
• Drive the acquisition of new clients while retaining and expanding business with existing clients.
• Customer Relationship Management:
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by overseeing the resolution of technical, operational, or service-related issues.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering and technical teams to offer tailored solutions to clients.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations, providing technical expertise and ensuring solutions meet customer requirements.
• Market Analysis & Competitor Intelligence:
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and potential risks.
• Analyze sales performance data, track industry developments, and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain competitive advantage.
• Product Knowledge & Technical Expertise:
• Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements in the water treatment and pump sectors.
• Provide technical support to clients and the sales team, ensuring in-depth understanding of products, services, and applications.
• Organize product training sessions and workshops for clients, ensuring they are fully informed on the functionality and benefits of solutions.
• Collaboration & Coordination:
• Work closely with the operations, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure the timely delivery of projects and solutions.
• Coordinate with marketing teams to create promotional campaigns, materials, and product literature.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, tenders, and contract negotiations.
• Sales Reporting & Analytics:
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project progress.
• Analyze sales data and customer feedback to improve strategies, refine offerings, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and action plans for management review.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Educational Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Additional certifications or training in water treatment, water pumps, or sales management is a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales or business development within the water treatment, pump systems, or industrial equipment industry.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a managerial role, leading a sales team.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of water treatment systems, pump technologies, filtration, and related industries.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
• Ability to analyze complex technical information and present solutions clearly to clients.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Other Requirements:
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and environmental policies related to water treatment and pump systems.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet clients, attend industry events, and oversee projects.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on the location.
