Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within the ship repair and maintenance industry, with proven success in driving revenue growth and building lasting client relationships. This role requires excellent technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive market.
Reporting: to General Manager- Techno Commercial
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the ship mechanical repair industry, including shipyards, shipping companies, and offshore operators.
Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their technical and commercial inquiries.
Conduct regular client visits and presentations to promote services and solutions.
Technical Sales Support: Collaborate with the technical team to understand the scope of mechanical repair services and provide accurate technical proposals to clients.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations tailored to client requirements.
Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share and achieve business objectives.
Monitor industry developments and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats.
Reporting and Coordination: Prepare regular sales reports, including pipeline updates, sales forecasts, and market analysis.
Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, finance) to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the ship repair, maritime, or mechanical engineering industry.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ship mechanical systems, repair processes, and industry standards.
Sales Skills: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets, with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
Travel: Willingness to travel within the UAE and internationally as required.
Preferred Attributes:
Familiarity with the UAE maritime industry and key stakeholders.
Experience working with shipyards, offshore operators, or shipping companies.
Knowledge of CRM tools and sales management software.
