Role Purpose:
The Sales Engineer's role is to cultivate new business opportunities and build relationships with key customers. This involves traveling to designated territories, conducting product demonstrations, collaborating across teams to enhance the client experience, and negotiating contracts. They also provide sales forecasts, contribute to strategic decisions, and actively participate in initiatives aimed at achieving the sales objectives to drive our company towards sustained success.
Key Accountabilities:
Identify and target potential customers within the marine industry, including shipyards, maritime companies, and boat builders, to generate new business opportunities.
Conduct outbound sales activities, such as cold calling, email outreach, and networking events, to engage with prospects and introduce our products and services.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities, tracking sales activities and progress through the sales cycle using CRM software.
Maintain sales volumes, brand mix and develop new accounts while actively growing relationships with existing accounts.
Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts, understanding their business challenges and offering value-added solutions.
Conduct product demonstrations and site visits as needed, showcasing our products and services and highlighting their features, benefits, and applications
Collaborate cross-functionally with Internal technical team, Warehouse and Logistics team to ensure seamless client experience.
Work closely with the sales team to develop and implement CRM workflows and processes that streamline lead management, opportunity tracking, and customer follow-up.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers to secure new business and achieve sales targets and objectives.
Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and activity updates to management, contributing to sales planning and strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven track record in sales, preferably in the marine industry or a related field.
Knowledge of the marine products or equipment's
Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
Ability to understand and effectively communicate technical product information.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales in the Marine or related industry
Proven experience in identifying and targeting potential customers.
Track record of successfully managing and growing a sales pipeline.
Experience in conducting product demonstrations and site visits.
Understanding of sales processes and the sales cycle.
