Job Overview
At Ohmium, our Sales Engineers are our product experts who act as a liaison with the customer by developing and providing technical support related to the company's products. By tapping into your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you build strong relationships with your customers as you lead them through the sales lifecycle. You work hand-in-hand with other members of Ohmium's Sales team to build sales presentations to showcase our amazing technology. Each day offers you a variety of new and exciting challenges to dive into, including by not limited to:
Duties & Responsibilities• Provide technical guidance to the sales and marketing teams through technical evaluation, design specifications, and cost analysis.
• Provide technical support for the company's sales and marketing teams related to term sheets, sales, or services contracts for the company's products.
• Prepare and/or deliver sales presentations and documentation to current and prospective customers related to product specifications, costs, and functionality/feasibility in the customers' specific applications.
• Establish effective working relationships with customers to identify their application for the company's products, collaborates with research and development, compliance, and engineering teams to develop or adapt products are required by the customer.
• Engage with customer's staff to fully develop their understanding of the company's products, their applications, product specifications, product maintenance, and cost savings as required.
• Prepare internal and external reports by collecting, analyzing, and collating data for product or sales presentations to customers, governments, or industry groups.
• Collect relevant information and data on regional customer and competitor activities.
• Effectively communicate with internal research and development, compliance, engineering, sales and marketing teams on potential issues or concerns related to misapplications, short- or long-term problems and recommend technically sound and cost-effective solutions.
Location, Travel & Work Environment• While not traveling, you will work from your home office (aka remote work location) which provides a work environment that (a) allows for confidential or sensitive discussions; (b) is quiet and distraction-free; (c) has consistent high-quality internet and phone access (d) ensures availability during business hours in Europe, nights and weekends as may be required and (e) safe from hazards.
• Ability to travel within the Middle East to meet with current and potential customers approximately 20% of the time.
• Potential for international travel to other countries as required.
• Fully COVID-19 vaccinated according to the Ohmium Vaccination Policy.
Required Qualifications, Education & Experience• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or another closely related technical engineering degree or an equivalent combination of education, certification, or work experience in some science/engineering related field.
• 5+ years' experience working as an engineer with broad exposure to renewable energy, P2X, oil & gas, process technology licensing, power and/or like projects or equivalent years of military experience in a relevant field.
• Superior English communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to translate complex technical material/concepts into layman's terms.
• Strong presentation as well as interpersonal skills to build solid working relationships.
• Proven ability to become a subject matter expert on a technical product.
• Proven experience in a high contact, customer-facing role.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to work in a multi-cultural, global environment.
