Job Summary: The Sales Engineer will focus on generating new business and nurturing relationships with existing clients in the exhibition stand design industry. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise with strong sales skills to deliver tailored solutions that meet clients' specific needs, ensuring the successful execution of custom exhibition stands. This role demands a thorough understanding of sales processes as well as the technical aspects of stand production, materials, and design concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales & Business Development:
• Identify and generate new business opportunities by targeting potential clients within the events and exhibition sector.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster repeat business and referrals.
• Collaborate with the design and production teams to propose custom stand solutions that meet client specifications.
• Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical consultations to explain stand design options and materials.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to close deals and meet revenue targets.
• Technical Expertise:
• Understand client requirements and translate them into feasible stand designs in collaboration with the design and production teams.
• Provide technical advice on materials, construction methods, and installation techniques for exhibition stands.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies related to stand design and build.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure seamless execution of projects from concept to completion.
• Client Management:
• Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the sales process, ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Address client concerns and provide post-sales support, including attending on-site installations when necessary.
• Ensure all client expectations are met or exceeded regarding stand design, budget, and deadlines.
• Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to support business strategy.
• Track and report on sales performance, KPIs, and client feedback.
• Continuously improve the sales process by identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory if supported by relevant experience).
• 3+ years of experience in sales within the events and exhibition industry, specifically in stand design and build.
• Strong understanding of exhibition stands materials, construction techniques, and design trends.
• Proven track record in business development, sales, and managing client relationships.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and collaborate with design and production teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Zoho software.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and trade shows.
Preferred Experience:
• Prior experience working with exhibition stand design companies or within the events industry.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design software is an advantage.

For a Sales Engineer in the Events & Exhibitions industry with a focus on stand design and build in the UAE, the salary range can vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications and depends on in person interview:
• Junior Sales Engineer (1-3 years of experience):
• AED 5,000 - AED 8,000 per month (inclusive of allowances)
• Mid-level Sales Engineer (3-6 years of experience): AED 8,000 - AED 12,000 per month (inclusive of allowances)
• Senior Sales Engineer (6+ years of experience): AED 12,000 - AED 15,000+ per month (inclusive of allowances)
• Commission: In addition to the base salary, we offer performance-based commissions that can significantly enhance total compensation, particularly in sales roles. Commissions typically range from X% to Y% of closed sales, based on discussions and agreements made during the hiring process
