OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE



As the Sales Director for IFX Payments in Dubai, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of the team and to drive development and execution of the sales strategy across the UAE region. You will be responsible for building and leading the corporate sales team, supporting the team in driving new business opportunities, and expanding relationships with key clients, while ensuring the achievement of revenue and profitability targets. Additionally, overseeing the day-to-day operations of both the corporate and private teams as required. You will be a natural leader who cultivates a positive and collaborative culture with an influential flare.




RESPONSIBILITIES


Leadership & Team Growth:



Recruit, lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team to ensure they meet or exceed sales targets whilst fostering a culture of performance, innovation, and collaboration.




Sales Strategy Development:



Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the team to meet the company's financial goals and objectives in both new and existing markets.




Revenue Growth:



Develop and execute strategies to drive significant revenue growth, ensuring profitability and market share expansion. Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, including partnerships to contribute towards the team targets.

Collaboration:



Work closely with the marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales strategies with broader company objectives.




Sales Reporting:



Monitor sales performance, forecast revenue, and provide regular reports to senior management on key metrics and market insights.




Market Intelligence:



Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitors, using insights to adjust the sales approach and stay ahead of the competition.




Partnerships and Alliances:



Establish and manage partnerships with local and international banks, financial service providers, and other stakeholders to enhance IFX's market presence.




Compliance and Risk Management:



Ensure that all sales activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering (AML) and payment service regulations.




COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE


• Experience : Extensive experience in sales, and solid experience in a leadership role within the payments or financial services industry, preferably with an international focus.
• Industry Knowledge : Deep understanding of international payments, FX, cross-border transactions, and payment gateways.
• Proven Track Record : Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, growing revenue, and expanding market share.
• Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in building and developing high-performance sales teams.
• Business Acumen : Ability to think strategically and drive business development initiatives that align with the company's growth objectives.
• Communication Skills : Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
• Cultural Awareness : Experience working in the UAE region or other international markets, with a strong understanding of local business practices and culture.
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Languages : Fluency in English is required. Arabic and/or other regional languages are an advantage.
