This is a full-time role for a Business Development Associate at AST Advanced Energy Solutions LLC in Dubai.
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for lead generation, market research, and delivering presentations to potential clients. Effective communication skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise
1. Preparation and evaluation of Request for Proposal (RFP), Tender Document and Contract Document.
2. Vetting of technical and financial proposals including design, specifications, cost estimations, calculation.
3. Identify, develop and maintain relationships with strategic partners in the region.
4. Work together with technical team to turn prospective leads into long-term clients.
5. Establish relationships with local governments and other industry stakeholders (utilities, Dept of Energy, industry associations).
6. Identify timely new opportunities in the form of the tenders and RFQs, work on submissions and attraction of right partners.
7. Scout new markets and identify new business opportunities, propose and execute market entry modes.
8. Build company credentials towards financing institutions and solar PV projects investors and attaining bank-ability status in major banks.
9. Take on ad-hoc projects as required by the team.
10. Travel frequently to visit clients and attend exhibitions and conferences.
11. Review specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve solar design objectives.
12. Provide technical direction or support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring.
13. Understanding of Electrical Single Line Diagrams.
14. Develop design specifications and functional requirements for RFPs for residential, commercial, or industrial solar energy systems or components.
15.Management of all social media accounts for the Company.
Customer Engagement
• Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their requirements.
• Provide ongoing support and follow-up to maintain client satisfaction and loyalty.
• Act as a trusted advisor for clients Solar infrastructure implementation.
Market Analysis
• Monitor and analyze industry trends, market demands, and competitive offerings.
• Provide feedback to the product development team to enhance Solar solutions.
Proposal & Contract Management
• Prepare and present detailed proposals, including technical specifications, project timelines, and cost estimates.
• Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring a win-win outcome.
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, with preferred experience in the Solar sector.
• Familiarity with Solar technologies, standards (e.g., DEWA AND DM), and installation requirements.

• Knowledge of the renewable energy sector is a plus
• Proficiency in CRM tools and sales software.

• Ability to commute/relocate.
• Dubai: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred).
