Overview of role:We are looking for an accomplished sales and business strategy professional to join our dynamic, diverse SSGA Middle East & Africa (MEA) and Official Institutions team. Based in our Dubai office, you will play a critical role in providing management support and contributing to our ongoing planning and strategy execution efforts.You will need to collaborate with colleagues in investments, research, marketing and product development. The role requires energy, flexibility, curiosity and excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.This role will include strategic, project and management support responsibilities across the business. The role will provide an opportunity to work across the organization to help drive results, support strategic initiatives, improve processes, foster collaboration and alignment, and achieve more efficient sales and business performance.The role reports directly to the Head of MEA and Official Institutions.Responsibilities :In addition to various ad-hoc strategic execution duties, the candidate will focus on three critical areas:Business ManagementSpearhead sales activity planning in partnership with sales and client relationship teamsAssume ownership for regional PR planningOversee and help improve local MIS reporting and management dashboardsOrganize annual sales and management offsiteActively contribute to regional event planning and coordination in partnership with Corporate Events/Marketing and client facing teamsManagement SupportPrepare all required Board and Committee presentations for senior management reviewPrepare Quarterly Business Results presentationsAct as (voting) proxy to head of MEA and Official Institutions in certain committee meetings when requiredSupport senior management in maintaining engagement with key external stakeholders (index providers, stock exchanges, trade associations, etc.)Keep abreast of changes in regional laws and regulations and contribute to impact assessment initiativesGrowth StrategyHelp identify and map out new potential growth areas for the business and spearhead associated projects and business cases \xe2\x80\x93 this includes developments into new segments, new geographies and new product linesWork on sales acceleration initiatives in partnership with the sales and marketing teamsRepresent the region in firmwide projects and initiativesContribute to ad hoc initiatives involving Official Institutions clients across multiple jurisdictionsWhat we would love you to be:Academic background in finance, economics, business or a related fieldCFA/CAIA charter holder/ candidate or equivalentPrior experience in ETF sales, capital markets or strategyMinimum 3 years experience in client facing or business strategy roles with top tier international financial services firmFluency in English (Arabic is a plus)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsA good problem solver and trouble-shooter, with the ability to identify and analyze issues with the creativity and energy to solve themWho you are:You are articulate, curious and entrepreneurialYou want to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environmentYou are motivated and keen to deliver the best possible outcomesYou are passionate about long-term relationship buildingYou understand the importance of risk excellence when representing a global financial services firm in emerging markets This job has been sourced from an external job board.
