Job Overview:

Rooya Solar Energy Systems Company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Dubai. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment across all our projects and facilities, promoting a culture of safety, and adhering to local and international safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.
• Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Safety Training: Organize and conduct safety training sessions and workshops for employees to promote safety awareness and compliance.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate any accidents, incidents, or near-misses, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of work sites, equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and coordinate emergency drills to prepare for potential incidents.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including OSHA, Dubai Municipality regulations, and other applicable standards.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training, and inspections. Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
• Safety Equipment Management: Oversee the selection, procurement, and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety into project planning and execution.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety officer role, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
• Certifications: Professional safety certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local and international safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Working Conditions:

• Location: Based in Dubai with occasional travel to project sites within the UAE.
• Environment: Combination of office and fieldwork, including exposure to outdoor conditions and solar installation sites.
• Hours: Full-time position with occasional after-hours or weekend work as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
