PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:Safety Officer Facade monitor health and safety and assess risk within assigned work place, manage and train other health and safety staff members and frequently travel to perform field investigations and respond to incident reports.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure a safe work environment, without risks to health
Establishing HSE rules, policies and procedures, to support the business and create a safe working environment
Setting all HSE policies for the business in collaboration with the Management and HR Team
Ensure that all HSE policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated, to meet changing business and legislative needs and communicated accordingly
Ensure the company meets its statutory obligations in all areas in relation to the health, safety and welfare at work, including reporting
Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work areas, equipment and operations
Ensure that all accidents are reported and recorded, in line with company policy and recommended improvements implemented
Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly recorded, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities
Establish a full structured programme of HSE training throughout the company and ensure accurate training records are maintained
Observes HSE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices and corrects obvious hazards immediately
Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety and welfare at work legislation and communicate and implement relevant changes within the business
Provide support for Quality Assurance of manufactured items
Provide regular reports to the Senior Management Team on relevant HSE activities
Prepare monthly metrics on accidents and incidents, which are provided to the ATI HR Team
REQUIREMENTS:
5-years minimum experience in high rise facade, Aluminum and Glazing
College Degree / Diploma
NEBOSH / OSHA certificate or any related short course, trainings, etc.
Familiar with governmental safety / environmental rules
