Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry standards. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure proper safety protocols are followed. Provide safety training to employees on proper safety practices and emergency procedures. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure all safety equipment and systems are functioning properly and regularly maintained. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the safety program, making recommendations for improvements. Assist in emergency response planning and execute emergency drills.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role, preferably within [industry type]. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train and influence staff. Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable. Ability to assess risks and provide effective solutions. First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
