Job Summary:
The Safety Officer is responsible for promoting and ensuring a safe working environment at construction sites. This role involves conducting safety inspections, implementing safety policies, and training staff to minimize risks and adhere to safety regulations. The Safety Officer will collaborate with site management to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safety Inspections and Audits:
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare reports on safety audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay updated on local, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure site compliance.
• Maintain records of safety incidents and reporting procedures as per regulatory requirements.
• Safety Training and Awareness:
• Develop and conduct safety training programs for all staff and subcontractors.
• Promote safety awareness through meetings, workshops, and informational materials.
• Incident Investigation:
• Investigate accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
• Document incidents and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
• Emergency Preparedness:
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
• Conduct drills and training exercises to ensure readiness in case of an emergency.
• Risk Assessment:
• Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure safety measures are integrated into project planning.
• Safety Policy Development:
• Assist in the development and revision of safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure that safety policies are effectively communicated and enforced on-site.
• Liaison with Authorities:
• Act as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and safety consultants.
• Participate in safety-related meetings and provide updates on safety performance.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum [X] years of experience in safety management within the construction industry.
• Certifications:
• OSHA 30-hour certification (required).
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification (preferred).
• Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and standards.

• Requirement to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
• May require occasional travel to different job sites.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
