Health & Safety Manager
Department: QHSE
Key Responsibilities:
? Assign safety tasks and responsibilities, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
? Develop, implement, and enforce company-wide health and safety policies and procedures
in compliance with local and national regulations.
? Review and update safety protocols to ensure they align with the latest industry standards
and legal requirements.
? Conduct regular risk assessments for events, rental operations, and semi-structural
installations and lead site inspections to ensure all safety measures are properly followed.
? Oversee safety audits to evaluate compliance and identify areas for improvement.
? Organize and lead safety training programs for employees as well as ensure all staff and
contractors are aware of safety regulations, emergency procedures, and company-specific
safety guidelines.
? Oversee the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of semi-structural installations for events
to ensure safety.
? Work closely with project managers and event coordinators to assess and mitigate any risks
associated with large-scale events or equipment use.
? Lead investigations into any workplace accidents, incidents, or near misses, identifying root
causes and proposing corrective actions.
? Prepare detailed incident reports and ensure that any necessary follow-up actions are
carried out.
? Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training, and other safety-related
activities.
? Ensure all safety documentation is up-to-date and accessible for internal or external audits.
Education & Certifications:
? Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
(preferred).
? NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certifications (essential).
? Additional safety management certifications are a plus (e.g., OSHA, CSP).
Experience:
? Minimum of 5 years of UAE experience in health and safety management, preferably in event
management, construction, or rental industries.
? Previous experience supervising and managing a team of safety professionals.
? Hands-on experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident
investigations.
? Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices.
? Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
