As an ROV Junior Base Technician, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the operation and maintenance of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) used in underwater exploration and industrial applications. Based at our facility, you'll assist senior technicians in ensuring that ROV systems are prepared, tested, and maintained to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on ROV systems and components to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This involves checking for wear and tear, performing cleaning tasks, and replacing worn parts as needed.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with ROV systems both on-site and during routine maintenance. Utilize diagnostic tools and procedures to identify problems, implement repairs, and ensure systems are fully operational
Assist in the setup, configuration, and calibration of ROV equipment before deployment. Ensure all systems are correctly aligned and functioning according to specifications to support successful missions.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and technical issues. Prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders to track equipment performance and inform future maintenance strategies
Work closely with engineering teams to address complex technical problems and implement system upgrades. Provide feedback on equipment performance and contribute to the development of new solutions and improvements .
Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all technical activities. Ensure that all maintenance and repair tasks are performed in accordance with safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience in a technical or engineering role, ideally related to marine, mechanical, or electrical fields.
Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
