Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and care for all equipment, tooling and machines used.
• Work under supervision and assists other technicians in the workshop in the strip down, inspect, repair and assembly various types of rotating equipment.
• Will be stripping down and rebuilding compressors, steam turbines and pumps.
• Ensure that all work has been completed, inspected and signed off before passing on the operation.
• Ensure that the work area remains a clean a safe working environment with input into the company performance against the annual QHSE plan.
• Performs other related field, maintenance or shop duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills / Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of compressor and steam turbine repair techniques and pumps
• Use and operation of tools required in aforementioned rotating equipment repair
• Basic knowledge of the use of using precision measuring and torqueing devices
• Basic knowledge of compressor and steam turbine clearance check methods with some knowledge of gas turbine and generator clearance check methods Various hand tools for Maintenance of Equipment
• Cleaning and preservation
• Ability to Read Technical Drawings
• Basic knowledge of maintenance of rotating equipment
• Sound knowledge of the use of high pressure hydraulic tooling
• Knowledge and ability to operate various rotating equipment special tools
• Good knowledge of all associated codes and regulations dealing with rotating equipment. Basic;
• Good communication skills in English language, both verbal and written.
• Basic mathematics skills.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years previous experience.
• Demonstrate advance skills in compressor and steam turbine repairs.

Education Requirements

• ITI in Mechanical Fitters + NCVT.
• Diploma is mechanical discipline preferred, although not essential

Physical Requirements

• Light physical effort
• Sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment
• May require travel across the Middle East and GCC countries
