Function: Agronomy
Department: Agronomy
Role: Entrusted with the daily maintenance, operations and management of the golf maintenance department. Ensures the implementation and documentation of all maintenance programs to provide the highest possible standard of playing surfaces in order to deliver outstanding golf experiences. Represents both the club and the department in liaising with all relevant stakeholders both internal and external to the business. Develops and trains the team while implementing the agreed Standard Operating Procedures.

Oversees and enforces the golf shop operations policies, procedures, controls, and fee structures to ensure the safekeeping of

DESIRED PROFILE (QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY)
Minimum of a high school diploma is required/ Degree preference in agronomy/ horticulture/ plant/soil science or a related field is preferred.
Member of an industry organization such as GCSAA or BIGGA
Displays an excellent understanding, planning, organization and implementation of the construction of new playing surfaces.
Understands the club Financial Performance and the impact the golf course maintenance has on that
Supervises, organizes and demonstrates good planning skills.
Minimum of five years of experience in a similar position in a Golf Club.
Pesticide applicators license or similar
