Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Rigging Setup and Operation:
• Set up rigging equipment such as pulleys, cranes, and hoists.
• Inspect and maintain rigging equipment to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Operate rigging equipment to lift, move, and position heavy loads.
• Load Handling:
• Attach loads to rigging equipment using ropes, chains, cables, and other materials.
• Calculate the weight and balance of loads to ensure safe lifting and movement.
• Communicate with crane operators and other team members to coordinate lifting and moving operations.
• Safety Compliance:
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of rigging equipment and work areas.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of rigging operations, including equipment inspections and load movements.
• Prepare reports on rigging activities and safety incidents as required.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other riggers, crane operators, and construction personnel to ensure efficient and safe operations.
• Provide guidance and training to junior riggers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training in rigging or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a rigger or in a similar role.
• Certifications: Certification from a recognized rigging training program (e.g., NCCCO Rigger Certification) is preferred.
• Skills:
• Proficient in the use of rigging equipment and tools.
• Strong understanding of rigging techniques and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and load charts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy loads and work in various weather conditions.

Working Conditions:

• The job often requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• May involve working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Requires physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy objects.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, and safety harnesses is mandatory.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
