Job Title: Rigger

Job Type: Full Time

Salary & Benefits: 1700-AED TO 1900-AED (per month)+Over time+ Accommodation

A Rigger is responsible for the preparation, securing, and moving of heavy loads at construction sites, shipyards, factories, or other industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, assemble, and set up rigging equipment, including slings, chains, ropes, shackles, hooks, and lifting beams, ensuring everything is in safe working condition.
• Select appropriate rigging gear based on the weight, shape, and size of the load being moved.
• Operate hoisting, lifting, and pulling equipment, ensuring loads are lifted, positioned, and lowered safely.
• Ensure that loads are properly balanced, securely attached, and that lifting devices are properly connected to prevent accidents.
• Communicate with crane operators and other workers to coordinate load movements and ensure smooth operation.
• Conduct thorough inspections of rigging equipment and machinery before use, identifying any signs of damage or wear and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain and repair rigging equipment as necessary, reporting any equipment faults or deficiencies to supervisors for immediate attention.
• Adhere to safety regulations, industry standards (such as OSHA), and company policies at all times while rigging, lifting, and transporting loads.
• Participate in pre-lift safety meetings, assess potential hazards, and implement appropriate precautions to protect personnel and equipment.
• Monitor job site conditions and stop work if safety standards are not being met.
• Calculate load weights and determine the appropriate rigging gear required based on the type of load and lifting equipment available.
• Plan rigging operations, ensuring that proper safety measures, including load limits and equipment capabilities, are adhered to.
• Maintain clear communication with crane operators, forklift drivers, and other workers through hand signals, radios, or verbal instructions to guide the lifting and moving of loads.
• Work closely with supervisors to ensure rigging operations are carried out according to project specifications and deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training in rigging, heavy equipment operation, or construction is preferred.
• Experience : At least 2-3 years of experience as a rigger or in a similar role in construction, industrial, or maritime settings.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a similar position within in UAE, or any GCC countries.
• Preferably High school degree or any related professional qualification in a similar field.
