Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair Hotel is a 620-room-and-suite upper upscale property. Catering for both business and leisure clientele. The hotel is located in Deira in the heart of Dubai and within easy reach of major tourist landmarks, leisure destinations and city services. It is linked to the Al Ghurair Shopping Centre, only 3 stops away on the Dubai Metro from the Dubai World Trade Centre and a 10 minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

Revenue Manager

As a Revenue Manger, you are responsible to achieve optimal mix of rooms and conference sales revenues to achieve budget RevPAR targets.

What you will be doing:

Maximize Revenue Incomes for Individual, Group and Conference business

Implement Sales Strategies

Maintain and manage all Reservation Channels, ensuring RIL rate integrity policies

Analyze Market Conditions and Trends

Analyze Business Opportunities

Develop, execution and review of an optimal revenue strategy

Provide Education and training to Front Office, Reservation and Sales

Active role in Forecast and Budget creation and Sales and Marketing Plan

Creation of team-working environment promoting morale and commitment, pride and performance in the reservations department and the hotel

Identification and development of successor (backup)

TRUST set-up and rate loading

Is aware of and abides by all hotel policies, procedures & relevant legislations

Reports any hazards, risks, accidents as required

Abides by and is aware of all relevant Occupational, Health & Safety legislation

Ensures all directions are followed out at the request of any level of Senior Management

To manage the room inventory to maximize yield per available room

To educate team members on local, Regional and Corporate programs

To analyses the impact of promotional programs

Update and maintain all 3rd party web sites on a daily basis

Update and maintenance of GDS (via CRS) & Fidelio system

Maintenance of proprietary reservation system BookHotel

Set daily selling hurdle and market rate to maximize yield

Implement upselling program

Maintain communication of any changes to Senior management

Effective communication on hotel level and with regional revenue contact

Create and Communicate overbooking policy and adjust according to market mix, daily movements, historical wash and lead times

Control room availability

Control group blocks

Ensure and update rate quotation guidelines

Competition analysis for all main reservation channels

Recording turn-aways in PMS

Update daily Pickup report

Review of no-shows with DOSM and decision about charging fees

Controlling all reservation movements for standard coding with direct feedback and monthly training on mistakes

Ensure correct market segmentation of gained business

Your experience and skills include:

2 to 3 years experience in a similar position is preferred

Previous experience in a 5 Star Hotel is an asset

Advanced Microsoft Excel and prior experience with Revenue systems are required

Demonstrate ability to forecast sales and trends in the market

Ability to work in a stressful environement and good analytical approach to problem solving

Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders

Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with assertive skills
