Responsibilities

Oversee daily bookstore operations and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers. Manage inventory, including ordering new stock, tracking sales trends, and organizing book displays. Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the bookstore and increase sales. Supervise, train, and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative work environment. Plan and organize events, such as book signings, author readings, and community engagements. Maintain financial records and prepare budgets to ensure profitability. Establish and maintain relationships with publishers, authors, and community organizations.
Requirements

Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a bookstore or similar environment. Strong passion for books and literature, with a broad knowledge of various genres. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to creating a friendly shopping atmosphere. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing inventory and financial records. Ability to create and execute marketing and promotional strategies effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships within the community.
