Be a part of our family!Job purpose:As a Retail Sales Director you will be responsible for developing and executing the retail sales strategy for McCain products. This role involves leading a team of sales professionals, managing Route to market distribution partners, developing sub- channels strategies, setting key retail accounts plans, and driving growth through strategic planning, market analysis, and exceptional customer relationship management.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and drive comprehensive retail commercial strategies across MENA region to achieve McCain sales targets, market share goals as well as bottom- line enhancements.
  • Develop Pricing Strategy to ensure Value Chain Optimization.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the retail sales team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with RTM distribution partners across MENA region.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the company\xe2\x80\x99s retail footprint and product portfolio.
  • Secure Annual Retail Distributor Contracting/ Agreements \xe2\x80\x93 inclusive of Volumes, Value, and Price and aligned Strategic Pillars to achieve set fiscal objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop consumer brand strategy, create effective promotional strategies with clear pay- back/ ROI.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with RTM partners to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Manage the sales budget and optimize resources for maximum efficiency and impact.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and meetings with key stakeholders.
About You:
  • Strong technical Sales skills. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to formulate Sales strategies, drive results and provide innovative solutions. He/she will also have the capability to understand market needs and build models in a hands-on fashion. The individual will also have a track record of effectively collaborating with internal cross- functional stakeholders and externally with RTM distribution partners &/ or 3rd party resources; developing a WIN- WIN relationships and over a cost-effective manner.
  • Commercial acumen. The successful candidate will have strong Sales skills. It is critical that the individual demonstrates a commercially oriented approach resulting in sustainable strong business results. He/she will have a deep understanding of consumer goods businesses, preferably within the food industry (FMCG).
  • Collaboration, influencing and coaching skills. The successful candidate must be a seasoned professional who is interested in being both a Sales Leader and a teacher and coach for Sales staff. Given the inherently collaborative nature of this role, the ideal candidate will have clearly demonstrated an ability to influence and work closely with different disciplines and within a variety of cultures. He/she will be able to provide examples of having influenced decisions through persuasion rather than authority. Social and influencing skills as well as coaching skills are key. Close co-operation with, and a good feel for various functions is a necessity to interact cross-functionally/business units.
  • Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the MENA region.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, organization and planning skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the MENA retail market.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Customer obsession.
  • Decision maker, flexible, capable of handling pressure and willing to travel frequently within the region.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic and/or French is a plus.
