ADNOC Distribution markets, sells, and distributes transportation fuel to both retail and commercial customers. We also run non-fuel services at our service stations.About the JobLead and support in execution of asset optimization projects across ADNOC Distribution portfolio of business and companies. This includes leading the measurement of the various ADNOC Distribution asset performance indicators and returns, asset strategies. Work along with businesses to maximize the overall realization and optimize cost by integrating technologies to eliminate inefficiencies, exploiting synergies across different business division, developing and identifying new avenues to increase return and utilization from existing assets.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAsset Management Planning and Communication
  • Support in development and preparation of the Asset Strategy and the Strategic Asset Management plans for various classes of assets including Corporate Assets, Service Stations, Manufacturing Facilities and other properties and assets in ADNOC Distribution.
  • Closely work with user department and define asset service levels, asset policies and lifecycle processes to ensure the assets support the goals of Asset Sustainability.
  • Prepare Corporate Strategic Asset Management Plan awareness program and circulate it with high level of communication to user department.
Financial Modelling, Portfolio Analysis and Investment Analysis
  • Develop and prepare financial models, asset valuation analysis for assessing feasibility and returns including defining key return perimeters, risk factors, market comparison factors and mitigation strategies.
  • Perform portfolio (real assets and businesses) analysis on ADNOC Distributions network to optimize returns, earnings, cash flows and asset risk, utilizing quantitative methods, financial theory and technological tools to analyse the performance and risk characteristics of a portfolio.
  • Develop and prepare the metrics/ standards, financial model for assessing feasibility and returns including defining various definite and indefinite variables, various quantitative models for different category of assets in ADNOC Distribution.
  • Review and incorporate relevant market policies, rules, and other qualitative factors into asset optimization and utilization models.
  • Lead return and earnings attribution analysis to identify the sources of a portfolio's performance, such as specific assets, geographic locations, regulations and market effects. Asset Performance Measurement, Monitoring and Reporting
  • Closely work with user department to monitor and ensure that all the ADNOC Distribution assets and facilities usage/ utilization, performance is in line with the Strategic Asset Management Plan and prepare periodic reports to share performance and return from different asset classes with the leadership and Senior Management.
Asset Optimization Projects and Project Management
  • Led execution of new investment and development projects in ADNOC Distributions network to improve portfolio returns, earnings and or cash flow, including acting as lead project manager for proposal.
  • Work closely with concerned user department like EVCI, Retail sales, projects, admin, C Stores, supply chain etc. and identify ways to optimize asset performance, exploiting synergies across various divisions across ADNOC Distribution to maximize return and optimize cost.
  • Coordinate with EPD, retail and other user department for managing and implementing project to improve the asset longevity, performance and overall return. Continuously monitor the project progress and timely escalate any challenges and issues to management.
Others
  • Study the latest market practices, participate in seminars and conferences on latest technologies and changes happening in the downstream oil distribution business, practices followed in similar industries like retail, superstore chains, etc. to identify innovative approaches and leverage the learning in improving the overall asset utilization and returns.
  • Prepare, develop, implement and manage an asset risk management process to determine the risk profiles of the asset categories and mitigation actions.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors in Finance/ Business Administration or any other relevant discipline
  • MBA in finance, Master in Economics or Master in Finance will be preferable.
  • 6 to 8 years of investment, strategy and or asset optimization experience across various functions in energy industry, including Oil and Gas Retailer, Utilities, Independent Power Producer and or Energy Infrastructure
  • Experience of developing strategic plans for service-based industry.
  • In depth knowledge of ADNOC Distributions business objectives, operations and of the regional laws and regulations
  • Strategic thinking
  • CFA, (CFA Progress Pass Level 2), CAIA and or CA (Charted Accountant) preferred
