We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive

Accountant

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for managing financial data. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and general ledgers. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring payments are made and received on time. Manage payroll processing and tax filings. Review and monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. Support external auditors during annual audits and assist in the preparation of audit documentation. Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. Stay updated on accounting laws and best practices to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role. Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations. Bonus requirement if candidate has retail experience especially luxury furniture. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. CPA certification or other relevant certifications (preferred but not required).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards specific to the industry. Previous experience working in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, retail, healthcare] is a plus.
