Job Description

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This includes overseeing staff performance, customer service, food quality, cleanliness, and ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed. The supervisor ensures that the restaurant runs smoothly and provides a positive experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:



Supervise, train, and motivate restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and kitchen staff. Ensure exceptional customer service by resolving guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally. Monitor and maintain the restaurant's cleanliness and safety standards, both front-of-house and back-of-house. Assist with scheduling and managing staff shifts to ensure proper coverage during busy periods. Handle opening and closing duties for the restaurant, including cash handling, balancing registers, and securing the premises. Maintain inventory levels for food and beverage supplies and order as needed. Collaborate with the restaurant manager to develop and implement operational procedures, promotions, and menu updates. Enforce company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure adherence to quality standards. Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Manage conflict resolution among staff and customers to maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications:



Proven experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry, with at least 2-3 years of supervisory experience. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of restaurant operations, including staff management, inventory, and customer service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism. Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
