Job Description

Job Summary: The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a high standard of food quality, customer service, and operational efficiency. This role involves managing staff, maintaining inventory, overseeing financials, and ensuring that the restaurant meets health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management:
• Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food regulations.
• Manage the restaurant's opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards.
• Handle customer complaints and feedback in a professional manner.
• Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, chefs, and kitchen staff.
• Assign tasks and set performance goals for staff members.
• Conduct regular staff performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive working environment and encourage teamwork.
• Financial Management:
• Monitor and control restaurant costs, including labor, food, and supplies.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting to achieve financial targets.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, costs, and profits.
• Ensure proper cash handling and management of registers.
• Inventory Control:
• Maintain inventory of food, beverages, and supplies.
• Order supplies and ingredients, ensuring proper stock levels.
• Minimize waste and ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
• Customer Service:
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining service quality standards.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints effectively.
• Monitor and improve customer service standards through training and coaching.
• Marketing & Promotion:
• Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the restaurant.
• Organize special events or promotions to increase customer traffic.
• Compliance & Reporting:
• Ensure the restaurant operates within the established budget and financial targets.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and competitor activities.
• Prepare reports on performance metrics, such as sales and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a restaurant manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of restaurant management software, POS systems, and inventory management.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in the food service industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
